madmundo tells the story of our world and our lives. On proposed themes, our reporters put themselves at the service of a citizen somewhere on the planet.

They investigate the issues in order to help citizens understand what is happening to them, allowing them to question the powers that be.

Episode after episode, directly on the web site or through your mobile, you can all participate and react, as the stories unfold in different episodes.

Each investigation then becomes a film for television or other uses.

With "Me, You, Us, All" as its motto, madmundo is a place where everybody can speak out on a equal basis.

Taking part in madmundo means engaging in an exchange and a dialogue on many levels, between internet users and reporters, or even with the people and personalities our investigations lead us to.

There are several ways you can participate. You can write, or you can chose to use your voice only, you can contribute through a video testimony, and you can even send a film via your webcam or mobile phone.

For each madmundo episode, we expect you to be there to comment and to push the madmundo team to do more.

And eventually, as Omar Koussih did around the theme of disability, you could also suggest a new story idea.

madmundo is a storytelling approach that is in tune with the coming era, and that crystallizes the creation of new possibilities.

It is a presence for concerned citizens who are eager for solidarity and hope. madmundo is both a witness and a stakeholder in the changes yet to come. madmundo enters the heart of globalisation, often from backstage.

By focussing on initiatives brought forth by civil society and/or other actors, madmundo amplifies them in order to embody a "social network" of human value.

This audiovisual approach reflects the evolution that is wished of our societies, local and global, and of the role of the media, in the eyes of all those who do not want to feel powerless when faced with their own future.

An attitude

For each citizen character for which madmundo works, our reporters investigate throughout the world, enabling them to connect to others or to confront those who have the power to make change. Creating communities of people and stakeholders - me, you, all of us - around issues …

A multimedia format

Before being made into a documentary … each story develops publicly on the web, enabling surfers and spectators to respond and participate, and our reporters to be transparent and open to question. These interactions continue after the worldwide TV broadcast, with true monitoring and live events on the web… on www.madmundo.tv

A story-telling mode

The account becomes a story of access to power for our citizen character and for raised awareness on all sides. Leading viewers and observers to realize that, as with all these big subjects, there is no single ‘truth’ but rather an evolutionary truth, and that to make change depends very much on the relations between all.
